Band Fields was born from a desire to do great things. Our purpose is to be kind - plain and simple.
The challenge nowadays is the creation of an environmentally and socially sustainable future that provides decent and meaningful work for everyone. We believe that it is truly possible to combine satisfying work not only from a financial standpoint, but also for work that nourishes the soul.
The power of happiness
We all want to be happy - that is the purpose of life. But what if we could be happy while doing what we love? We’ve heard the phrase ‘Do what you love, love what you do’ one too many times and yet most think that it is a lovely sentiment, but that isn’t real life. This is where we come in. We are certain that we can find a balance between work, happiness, life, relationships and everything else in between.
Looking after the environment
It is crucial to us to do things the right way. This includes doing things that will protect and maintain a biodiverse equilibrium around the globe. We will endeavour to understand the impact that our business has on the environment and actively seek ways to ensure that we are contributing to a healthier, saner, happier, beautiful world.
With this in mind, we will strive to choose fabrics, haberdashery, suppliers and processes that fully align with our values. This means looking after every aspect of our business to create a sustainable proposition for all.
Fair trade (who we work with)
We know that there is quite a road to travel and that we won’t be able to find the answer to all our intentions straight away, but there is one thing we have absolute control over, and that is the way we treat the people we work with. There have been emerging (and alarming!) news about the unfair treatment of workers around the world. The UK government published a report (2019) about the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry. If you are interested in reading it and can stomach the 71 pages, read it here. This is appalling from every viewpoint.
